Sunday Screenies - Starlight Desert

Silithus is a creepy lookin’ place - all them beasties! But ah took mah self over there in search o’ somethin’ fer a friend…

AQ

A guildy posted a quiz this week asking people to ‘find the tree’ - posting various screenshots of his leafy-druid self all around the world and asking people to name the zone and sub-zone.  Some of them I knew vaguely where they might be but was at a  loss to the sub-zone name.  One such was Silithus - I’ve not done many quests there on any char so I toddled over and found myself at Ahn’Qiraj - somewhere I’ve never been - and promptly fell in love with how it looks.

That’s an awesome picture. Better yet, take the opportunity to get a group of your friends and explore the entirety of Ahn’Qiraj. There are quite a few fun and different boss encounters to be had in there and it’s always fun seeing new content — even if it’s old content.

And I tried to get interest in something like that with my old guild. It fell through, but I had a blast going back to all of those old memorable places from my World of Warcraft “youth” again.

That is an awesome idea for a game!

A group from my guild was in AQ20 last night (only about 10 of us, but mostly 70s… I pulled along my gimpy lock alt to get some actual loot for her) and it was quite a bit of fun. We got down three bosses and fought the big guy at the end without much success. Some old world raids really made use of having a full 20 people in the group, and that fight is one of them.

Anyway, get some folks together and go for it. Even a PUG set up on the realms forms would be fun.
