Useful Links

Puttin’ these all in one place so that, maybe, someone won’t have to look as far and wide for the links. There are, of course, plenty I’ve ‘missed’ but these are the ones I use on a regular basis for reference, not every single useful link ever.
General
wowwiki - So useful it’s unbelieveable. It’s so handy for looking things up really quickly which would be hard to find on your favourite quest/item database such as trainers for your profession, their level and location, overviews of the old quest chains (I find it explains things such as the old attunements better as it gives an overview of the quest structure and not just a set of follow-through links).
Bosskillers.com - This is my tactics site of choice, with plenty of reasonably good tutorials and video’s from a number of raid viewpoints. It’s not the be-all and end-all as quite often I find myself being asked to perform a different role to what it says melee dps ‘must’ do but generally the guides give a really good overview of the fight.
Jame’s Alliance Leveling Guide - Yes, I use one and quite happily too! I’m almost at my fourth 70 with a number of characters scattered from 30-50 too, I’ve done all of the quests several times and read all of the description and had fun with the lore. I want to kick back and level now without having to check wowhead / thott / allakhazam / whatever every five minutes or taking too much time over doing things I’d done before but don’t remember the exact coordinates. I’d never recommend using a guide if you’re leveling your first character as exploring everything is too much fun but if you’re tired and jaded for goodness sake, grab a guide. I know that Jame’s 30-60 is a bit outdated, now, but it’s still the nicest alliance one I’ve found to date - clear, clean and with good illustrations.
Wow Reputation Calendar - Exactly what it says on the tin. This site gives you the number of quests / instances / hand-ins needed to gain the next level of faction from any of the Burning Crusade ones. It’s based on data from armory, though, so doesn’t always get reputation updates very quickly.
Bufe’s Grid + Clique Tutorial - Ok, so, not one I’ve used since I setup grid + clique but it really is so damn useful! I found grid and clique a bit intimidating to setup and this tutorial went a long way to making it easier.
Rogue
Rogue Raid Boss List - If you’re just starting out, this ‘cheat sheet’ is a good thing to have available. I’m lucky in that I can have my laptop beside me whilst I raid for teamspeak (my pc has a hard-to-reach mic input) and so can have this up on screen when needed. It may seem basic for some of you but a quick reminder for which bosses are poison or bleed immune can stop you from dropping a good chunk of dps when you’re still new to an encounter or if you have a terrible memory like I do. I’d not reccomend reading this without looking at a wider-view tactic but I’d say that this page is usually much more ‘realistic’ than bosskillers as it is written directly from the viewpoint of several raiding rogues.
Shadowpanther - This is a really good site for checking gear upgrades - all of the items are linked and valued in a simple table for your viewing pleasure. I use this all of the time but take it with a pinch of salt as your personal gear will likely determine whether something listed as ‘lower’ will actually be an upgrade. It seems, for instance, to give a bit more weight to some items with stamina which are less useful than the good dps-only upgrades if you have a few pvp pieces (Gladiator swords, for instance) to make up for stamina elsewhere. Generally if you exercise your common sense this list becomes a pretty awesome resource.
Roguecraft 101 - I’m a big fan of the Elitist Jerk forums. I used to be somewhat intimidated by them but some posts, like this, lay things out nice and clearly, neatly and informatively. It breaks down how much weight you should give stats at your current gear level, which gem and enchant selections may give you the best bang for your buck, and a rundown of rogue abilities, when to use them and what cycles are most effective for dps for a given raiding spec. I you’re a raiding rogue I recommend you take a peek.
Shaman
How to Heal Like a Pro - Another EJ post which really helped me understand what I was doing when healing. Like the rogue one linked above, this thread goes over gem choices and enchants and gives an overview of mp5 versus +heal and the usefulness of each in a given situation. It gives some nice juicy info on the efficiency of healing (the bit on chain heal is particularly nice - I began to use it a bit more freely after reading this thread). It even has a little bit of information for raid leaders on how to best utilise shamans. It also has a small section with tactics specific to boss fights as well as a few useful macros. Overall a good read.
One Stop Elemental Shop - Pretty much as above but for Elemental Shamans. It is a little more focused on theorycraft, though, so you might want to look at some of the other links I have here which deal with gear and gem/enchant choices in conjunction with this post.
Shaman Healing Gear for Raiders & Shaman Elemental Gear for Raiders - Written by Skyhoof of Cenarius, these are good gear lists with the added benefit of recommended enchants and gems for each piece of gear. They’re good cheat-sheets which don’t go into as much behind-the-scenes detail as the EJ thread above but, nonetheless, are really useful. I, sadly, don’t ever play enhancement on my shaman so I can’t give you a similarly good thread for enhance gear.
Resto Shaman Notes 2.0 - Another overview for healing which includes gems / chants / gear but also has useful tips on talent selection and downranking. It’s much lighter reading than the EJ post so if you’re intimidated by the sheer volume of data there then this post might be a better first-read until you’re more comfortable in your understanding of the logistics of shaman healing.
Doc’s Non-Raid Resto Mail and Gear Guide - I will stress that this guide may not be up to date! However, it is a good guide for getting gear whilst you’re still leveling your shaman and getting them ready for Karazhan. There are some items which drop in Hellfire which I’m still using on my shaman at 70 and some which I’ve only recently replaced. Keep an eye on this guide and don’t throw out something just because it looks like elemental gear or is green. Hoard, my pretties, hoard!
Hunter
Petopia - Awesome site, whether you just want to look at pretty pictures of your pet-to-be or find out where that next level of claw comes from!

Meh…you’re making me feel guilty! I’ve recently added a lot of feeds to me rss reader that I haven’t got around to linking on my blog! Jame’s Guide - parts I and II (30-50) are now updated to take the faster levelling into account and he’s working on part III.
Can Be in General List?
Ces: I’ve only added things I actively use to the list or have found to be useful. Thanks for the link though - I’ll check it out and if I likes what I see I can maybe add it on!
